30 May 2014, Kuala Lumpur
This event might as well have been entitled “Help Has Come”, as this was the message that came across throughout the event :
- 704 students, divided into 141 groups (4-6 members per group) took LRT and monorail to find a final destination. To do this, they need help from “mystery persons” to give them clues – otherwise they could not find answers.
- Through skit, songs and dance, a Singapore Youth For Christ performing arts team showed how different people react when the LRT malfunctioned in an underground tunnel. People need to realize that though we try different ways to overcome our problems, there are some things in our lives we cannot solve. We need help from outside ourselves i.e. Jesus Christ.
- Every group had Christian group leaders to help them reach the final destination. These group leaders also shared the gospel to help them come to know God personally.
- At the end of the event, as the students left the hall, they were each given a notebook with the words of a song printed in it. The title of the song is Help Has Come.
We thank God for the 150 Christians who shared the gospel to 498 non-Christians. Many students seemed to have responded to the gospel. But, one week later, after checking all their responses, the final result was 7 students who wanted to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord of their lives, and 51 students were interested to find out more about God. We are now following up these students.
