Prayer Digest: September 2015

DayPrayer Items
01Kai Boon: I will undergo nose surgery on 12 October. Pray for my recovery and good health to serve God.
02Siew Nyok: Pei Jun, Wei Xian and Rong Sheng will leave Malacca and continue their university life in different places in September. Pray for them that they can adapt to the new environments and faithfully follow Jesus Christ and make disciples. Pray for them to find suitable churches.
03Kai Boon: Thank God that the “Champion’s Trophy” event was successfully held on 22 August in Machap Baru. Thank God, 7 students accepted Christ and 24 non-Christians were interested to know God. Pray for the follow up among these students that they would be willing to meet and continue to know God.
04Harvey (KL Volunteer): I will continue my studies in college starting in September. Pray for me to have wisdom to study and adapt to the new environment.
05Jia Yun: Pray for my mother. Recently her knee has been painful and this affects her ability to walk. Pray that she can recover soon.
06Nyet Lee: Thank God that my mother’s eye surgery is successful. During this time, she cannot have direct exposure to sunlight, sooty environment and carry heavy stuff. But sometimes she does not listen. Please continue to pray for her recovery. Ask God to lead so that she can quickly get better.
07Wee Shyan: Please pray for my mother in law. Last month, she fell down and her knee was injured. It is still painful and this makes It hard for her to walk. Pray that she can recover soon. My father will have another eye surgery in October. Pray that the surgery will go well and he can recover quickly.
08Nyet Lee: We will conduct a tchoukball sport evangelistic event on 16 Sept. We will mobilize 15 Christians to share the gospel to 30 non-Christians. The staffs and volunteers will work together to plan and prepare it. Pray that the school fellowship Christians will invite their non-Christian friends to join.
09Sze Ern: Thank God for Tobias. Recently he has been following up a group of his church youths using Basic Christian Living lesson. Pray for him to have a clear aim with his youths and they will grow in His word.
10Jia Yun: Recently, Abigail started her college life in Sunway College. Pray that she will adapt to the new environment and in the busyness of college life, she still has good relationship with God.
11Kuok Han: Johor YFC has started a volunteer’s ministry. Recently, we plan to work with Nan Fang College in youth evangelism. Pray for Wee Shyan and me to know how to get to know more Christians in the college and challenge them in youth evangelism.
12Mei Yann: Please pray for my aunt. There is a 5cm tumour in her uterus. It is still uncertain whether it is malignant or benign. The doctors need to wait for a biopsy. Ask God to heal her, and that no matter what happens; my aunt will obey and trust God.
13Bee Bee: Recently, I keep getting headache and I can’t’ sleep well at night. Pray for me to have good health to serve Him and complete the task given to me well.
14Kok Siang: Thank God, 30 non-Christian students have signed up for our Mid-Autumn Café event which will be held on 16 September. Pray that God will touch their hearts to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord. Pray for me also as I need to oversee the whole progress of this event to make sure each part of the program is well prepared and linked together relevantly.
15Pray for the YFC board members who are having a board meeting tonight to discuss various issues about the ministry that they watch over the ministry to ensure that we continue to mobilize Christians and preach the gospel to more non-Christian youths.
16Kuok Han: Johor YFC will conduct a mid-autumn evangelistic event on 18 September. May God open the non-Christians’ hearts, and they would be willing to listen to the gospel shared by the Christians in the event.
17Pray for the Bible study that Piang Hong is conducting with some trainee teachers in Ipoh – contacts made through volunteer Alern. Pray for this group that it will lead to more Christians seeing the need to be careful in the correct interpretation and study of God’s word.
18Pray for the staffs as we develop different approaches to youth evangelism. We need to develop different methods to reach the different types of young people today, using methods that suit their interests and needs.
19May Kuan: Recently, about 10 non-Christians has been coming to YFC office. We have start a place to let the students study and play in YFC office. Beside that, we are also having Mark bible study with them, which they have not rejected. Pray that one day they all will receive Jesus Christ.
20Jia Yun: I need to supervise the personal evangelism in Johor YFC ministry. Pray for me to know and be clear how to work on it with the staffs, volunteers and students.
21Today KL YFC has a one-day training for group leaders in Project Serve 1. Pray for the Christian students who come as they learn the book of Mark and learn how to help group members in the training.
22We will form mission teams on the 1st and 2nd week of December. Different staffs will lead different volunteers and students to mission trips to Labis, Kota Bahru, Serdang and Ipoh. Pray that these mission teams will bless many to know Jesus Christ and serve people with God’s love.
23On 24-25 Sept, we have pre camp for mission team at Malacca YFC office. Pray that we can train and equip our mission team members (volunteers and students) as we go through the schedule, their roles and as they get to know each other before the mission trip starts.
24Pray for the pre-camp for mission team that will equip the team members in God’s word and also some skill they need to learn and use in the mission trip, like how to share the gospel and follow up. Pray for the speakers to teach well.
25Please pray for the volunteers and student in YFC. Pray for them that they will work hard with us in youth evangelism and they will grow spiritually in God’s word and trust and obey God.
26KL YFC has already started planning for TOUR8. One main reason for planning this early is our hope of increasing the number of Christians involved in the work of youth evangelism, and that this will indirectly also help us to mobilize more Christians in the ministry.
27Kok Siang: I am working on the mission trip to Labis Methodist Church which will be on 1-6 December 2015. This is the first time I will be a team leader. I am working on the time table and the team members’ arrangement now. Please pray for me that I can learn and grow through this mission team experience.
28The Project Serve 1 training at 3 centres is on 23-27 November. We will discover the amazing life of Jesus Christ from the book of Mark. Pray for the churches and the Christians we publicize to that they would be interested to join and learn.
29Kuok Han: Recently, I have many different roles in the ministry. Pray for me to have discipline to manage my time and work efficiently. Pray that my relationship with God will also grow.
30Continue to pray for the volunteer Bible Studies in KL at Kepong office and at Cheras (we use Balakong Lutheran Church for this Bible study). Pray that the volunteers will learn through this study and also be reminded from God’s word to live obedient lives that glorify God.
